Is it possible to stop jspell from checking the spelling on page load?

I am working on a problem where jspell tries to check the spelling of the page when it loads with blank content. I want to prevent this call because it doesn't make sense to spell check an edit control when it's empty.

How can I do this?

I'm using JSpell Evolution Pro with tinyMCE
